The documentary tells the story of Hans Pabst von Ohain and the Englishman Frank Whittle, who independently came up with the idea of using jet propulsion for airplanes in the 1930s.

His mother is in ill favor with the Balinese natives who want to get rid of her, and the hand of Sari, a native chieftain's daughter, will not be his until this is accomplished. How he manages to save his mother and also win Sari is unfolded in the film.

A man returns from South America to Germany and finds his sister has developed a cocaine habit.

This version of the notorious Russian monk/charlatan`s life, presents Rasputin, not as an evil manipulator of the czar`s family, but as more of a victim. The story begins in a tiny village where he miraculously healed peasants. He is then taken to court to treat the czarina`s hemophiliac son, but because Rasputin was a wild drunk and womanizer, he is sent back to his home. When war breaks out, he goes back to St. Petersburg to con the czar into taking over the high command. En route, Rasputin meets a duke and the soldier whose fiancee with whom he had once dallied. In the end, they lure him to a palace and shoot him. The script has an added touch of historical accuracy in that an actual acquaintance of Rasputin, Ossip Dymow, assisted with the script.

Patrol officers Ida Sörensen and Magnus Vinter are called to the scene where a body has been found. Horik, the son of Kort Holm, a Copenhagen underworld figure, has been killed with two Viking arrows.

During the pagan Rauhnächte, unbridled revelry reigns in the former Viking town of Ribe. Even at the police station, where conscientious patrol officer Ida Sörensen is helping out on the night shift, chaos reigns.
